McWane Center

Today was Jack's first visit to Mcwane. He just looked around the whole time except for a short nap that he was able to squeeze in. John Berry is so jealous that he had to work today and couldn't join in the fun. We will definitely be going back! Jack and I also went to visit his new school (Mt Vernon Methodist Child Enrichment Center), and we met one of his teachers, Mrs. Shelice. Everything looked great, and we are ready to start on Monday. For some reason all of the teachers called him "Jack Jack" as soon as they saw him. I haven't figured out what that is about yet. Anyway, life is good on this Wed. Jack is about to wake up from his nap, and we will be eating at our favorite Mexican restaurant tonight!

Jack with Mimi

Jack and I are spending the day in Jasper with Nannie, Cissy, Katie, Andrew, Keri, Kallie, Cliff and my mom and dad. It's been a great day; however, Jack hasn't napped much at all. This should make for an interesting night!

ok quick update...

So I havent updated this blog in about a year... here we go. I had a great pregnancy, a great delivery, and now I have a wonderful baby boy. Jack was born 2 weeks early on July 30, 2010 via c-section. He was 19 inches and 7 lbs 1 oz. Healthy and happy! And he has been growing like a weed. He will be 5 months old in a few days and he is a whopping 16 lbs. He is very sweet and smiles a lot! He is also impatient. If he wants something, he wants it immediately and he will let everybody know! He started baby food this month, and he loves it! We aren't sleeping through the night yet, but we are close! Jack only wakes up to eat and goes right back to sleep. He is so active and strong! He can pull up to standing very easily. He's been active since day 1, and he can roll over now. He's ready to be on the move. And once he can crawl he will be into everything! He also recently started teething, so that has been fun! I will post pictures very soon. I will try to be better about blogging. John Berry and i just love Jack so much. We have never had this much fun in our lives!

ok seriously...

I know, I know, I know.... It has been 3 months since I have last updated the blog. But wow.. what a wild, wonderful 3 months it has been!!! So life has just been moving along. Here are some highlights from October and November...

October: Alabama football season, John Berry and I went to Gatlinburg for Halloween and had a wonderful time, the weather changed... hmm... ok that's all I can remember from October. Have no fear-- November was awesome...

November: more football, school was busy (both teaching and UAB), John Berry and I got to spend a lot of time with family and friends, I went to New York during the Thanksgiving holidays with my mom, sisters, aunt, and cousin... and little did I know that while I was on that very trip....

I WAS PREGNANT!!! Yep, that's right. John Berry and I are going to bring a little one into this wonderful world. We are BEYOND excited. I am due August 13! We found out right after Thanksgiving on a night when I had 2 papers due the following day. I told John Berry that I was going to take a pregnancy test just for the heck of it, and he rolled his eyes and told me it was pointless. And then I saw a very very very faint pink line... I told JB that I thought I was prego, and he ran to the store to by the expensive digital "Yes" or "No" tests. And then I guzzled a bottle of water, failed at my attempts to write a paper, and waited... Then the time came. And we saw a "YES"!!! We went to the doctor the very next day, and we had to hold in the news until Christmas Eve, which was when we told our families. So that brings us to December...

December: a whole lot of puking. And sleeping. And that's about it...

John Berry has been wonderful!! And it was so wonderful to tell our parents on Christmas. They were so excited!! John Berry had the great idea to have onesies made for our dad's... Mr. John's said "I can't wait to go hunting with my granddad!!" and my dad's said "My granddad rides a harley." They were cute and a perfect way to tell our parents...

Names.. this has been the major question.. and luckily, John Berry and I had already decided on names before the little one was created... If it is a boy, his name will be Jack Crosby Biddle, and he will just go by Jack. If it is a girl, her name will be Ann Parker Biddle, and she will go by Ann Parker (Shoutout to Steph for her help on that one). Regardless of how many children we have, we want to stick with family names. Jack is John Berry's granddad, Crosby is my mom's maiden name, Ann was my middle name and my grandmothers are Nan and JoAnn, and Parker is Mrs. Janet's maiden name. So anyway, that's that.

Today is a big day... at 2:30 I am meeting John Berry at St. Vincents for our first ultrasound. And we get to hear the heartbeat!! So, I promise to be more up-to-date on my blogging. I will keep you updated. Life is good, and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Here's to an absolutely unbelievable 2010!!!
